“Ms.Shuchita Gupta,Co-Founder ,care4parents
Someone has rightly said, “The closest thing to being cared for is to care for someone else”. Meet the charismatic Ms. Shuchita Gupta , who has over 10 years of prior experience into the start-up world. She has worked at CXO levels with startups like adda52, Indiagifts, Moglix, etc. This gave Shuchita a lot of learning ground, not only in terms of managing her practice as consultant CFO, but also in terms of how startups commence, grow, function and how technology was bringing efficiency in processes or how services could get delivered to users in the comfort of their house.
However, one evening, while speaking with Dr. Khera (Co-founder, Cafe4Parents), she wondered why the technology efficiencies and ease of services, cannot also be used for eldercare and Care4parents was a natural consequence.
According to her, we are a culture where elders have always been given respect and put on a higher pedestal. Seeing them in pain and suffering is something a lot of us do not want to endure. How many people living around the world have the fear of who will take care of their loved ones in case something happens? She wanted to do something to help this cause.
With an aim to be a like-a-family member to the elderly living alone in India and providing the kids abroad, a certain ‘peace of mind’ regarding their parent’s health, care4parents enables diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients (including history taking and appropriate physical examination) by means of electronic technology (with access to records for kids anywhere in the world)
Care4Parents’ in-house doctor and customer care personnel help the elderly in fixing video consultations with doctors, keeping all health records on the digital platform, and maintaining a health summary and a health calendar
Ms. Gupta is a woman who is not afraid of experimenting or taking risks. Her motto in life is-experiment – fall – get up –succeed. And repeat !
